A few conversations in our household of late:
Three-year-old can’t find his other shoe (an hourly occurrence, by the way). Finds shoe, then concludes: “Satan made my shoe to be lost, but God helped me find it.”
Listening to music in the car, three-year-old asks, “Is this song about God?” Answer: “No.” Five-year-old pipes in, “Well, God made the words that are in the song, right, Mom?”
Last one: I asked above-mentioned three-year-old to put my glass of water away. His response: “It’s not actually your glass, Mom, it’s the McGinty’s [we are house-sitting at the McGinty’s and using all of their possessions].” He goes on: “Well, actually, it’s not even the McGinty’s glass, it’s God’s glass.”
Where would I be without my children reminding me that it all comes back to God?
Their memory verse for the week is quite fitting:
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it.” - Psalm 24:1
